The Beaver Dam Unified School District seeks a full time Spanish Teacher to serve our Middle School students. The position entails teaching 8th grade elective Spanish for High School credit and 7th grade elective World Languages class. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to serve students in a well-paying, highly collaborative and progressive district. The position offers excellent pay and a full benefit package. Candidates must employ a variety of teaching strategies and be committed to differentiating instruction and assessment to meet the needs of individual learners, taking into account the learning needs of the children. Successful candidates will follow individualized education plans for the students he/she serves, taking into account the academic and social/emotional needs of each student. Ideal candidates will have a passion for Spanish, as well as working with early adolescents in their middle school years. Candidates must have the ability to provide a secure, comfortable, respectful, and inviting learning atmosphere which motivates and challenges students to achieve at their highest level. Candidates must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and communicate with their students, parents, and staff. Candidates must be student-centered, and be able to establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students, be able to work successfully as part of a team, and regularly integrate technology to enhance student learning experiences. All qualified candidates will be expected to: Collaborate with colleagues to improve the learning of all students; positively engage various stakeholders in the school and community; establish and enforce rules consistent with the student code of conduct.
