JOB DESCRIPTION: This particular position will provide assessment services and then deliver group and individual therapy to qualifying children in the areas of articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc. Qualified candidates should possess: • Passion to work with elementary and middle school students; • Ability to be student centered; • Highly motivated, team-oriented; • Understanding of school-based services and the link between language and curriculum; • Desire to provide services in an inclusive classroom setting; • Expertise with students with various social learning needs; • Excellent diagnostic and assessment skills in identifying communication disorders; • Ability to develop treatment plans, interventions, and/or educational materials; • Coordinates meetings and process for screenings, pre-referrals, testing, IEP’s, and parent conferences; • Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy with suggestions for the student’s daily activities; • Provide information and support to students' families when appropriate. • A strong knowledge base in how to use AAC to support communication. CERTIFICATION: Wis. DPI Licensure in Speech and Language Pathology (#1820) American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification desired
