School Psychologist License: Wisconsin School Psychologist #7062 Required. Masters Degree from accredited university and complete the approved pupil services preparation program specific to the license, culminating in an Education Specialist or Doctorate. The Beaver Dam Unified School District seeks a full time School Psychologist to serve our District students, beginning employment with the start of the second semester. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to serve students in a well-paying, highly collaborative, and progressive district. The School Psychologist provides evaluation, intervention, and consultation services for and on behalf of children. The ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and collaborate effectively with community agencies to promote the education of the students is essential. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, innovative, energetic, and collaborative psychologist who supports our mission to reflect the cultures of our diverse community. The ability to use data to drive instructional decisions and collaborate with colleagues is an essential skill for this position. Candidates should be proactive and passionate in their work using a hands-on learning approach that encourages students to imagine, create, and learn. Successful candidates should also have the ability to provide mental and behavioral interventions, and provide assistance to administrators and staff in the development of crisis preparedness plans and student crisis response. Candidates who are proficient in the use of technology and interested in serving as an advisor or extracurricular and coaching positions are valued. Candidates must be student-centered and have the ability to: - Provide a secure, comfortable, respectful, and inviting learning atmosphere which motivates and challenges students. - Plan and deliver effective instruction that regularly integrates technology, engages students, enhances student learning experiences, and provides students opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. - Use data to adapt teaching methods, materials, and strategies to meet the varying needs of individual learners. - Provide mental health and behavioral interventions. - Provide assistance to administrators and staff in the development of crisis preparedness plans and student crisis response.
