Position Details
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and social development.

Teach classroom guidance lessons on topics like friendship, conflict resolution, emotions, and decision-making.

Identify and address student needs through observation, referrals, and communication with teachers and parents.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ academic and behavioral success.

Help create and implement behavior intervention plans when necessary.

Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies, trauma-informed practices.

Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to collect and analyze behavioral data to inform programming.
REQUIRED
A valid Wisconsin certificate with DPI endorsement #966 or #964 (School Counselor), or the ability to obtain a DPI license with stipulations, is required.
