We are currently looking to fill a middle school girls basketball coaching position for Pecatonica Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in coaching philosophy and strategy. Evidence of coaching development through clinics and/or certifications. Leadership, organization and communication are essential skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Be scholarly first with thinking, planning, and decision making. Instruct players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Supervise athletes during practices and games and ensure their safety. Follow all rules, policies, and regulations of the Pecatonica Area School District.
Qualifications Preferred: Certified Educator CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Fundamentals of Coaching course per NFHS High school, middle school, club or college coaching experience Understands and teaches skills/fundamentals, rules of sport and associations; including technical and tactical components of the competitions Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and communicates clearly with athletes and parents Mentor and develop relationships with scholar-athletes and encourage a healthy, fun and competitive outlook in sport The Pecatonica Area School District Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected under State or Federal law including, but not limited to, race, color, age, sex, creed or religion, handicap or disability, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, membership in the national guard, State defense or reserves, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, arrest record, conviction record, use or non-use of lawful products off the District’s premises during non-working hours, or any other characteristic protected by law in its employment practices.
