Recruitment and Retention Highlights • Owns the delivery and effectiveness of the SASD employee lifecycle activities (recruitment, on-boarding, transfers, off-boarding, overall well-being, etc.) by providing higher-touch human interaction and assistance. • Leverage data, research, and insights to craft and build coordinated employee experiences, enabling a detailed end-to-end employee experience to positively impact recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention. • Regularly bring together teams and key collaborators across the District to build awareness and understanding, capture input, create alignment, promote integration, and drive end-to-end design and implementation of a positive employee experience. • Works closely with key stakeholders to understand critical employee touchpoints, interactions, and time frames in their employment journey. • Builds solid partnerships and collaboration with peers, team members, and district leadership. • Responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing ongoing employee engagement and recognition programs, tactics, and events and providing consultation to others accountable for delivering engagement programs. • Administer employee engagement survey programs and other initiatives. • Partner with district leaders to effectively integrate engagement and talent development practices in the employee onboarding and induction process. • Coordinates recruiting efforts, including maintaining relationships with schools, colleges, associations, and other recruiters. • Lead ongoing development and execution of the District’s strategic recruiting plans, including college recruiting initiatives to include a student-teacher pipeline. • Post openings with online sites, social media accounts, advertisements, professional organizations, and other position-appropriate venues, maintaining District/department branding. • Manage communication with external job posting partners. • Maintain candidate engagement during the screening and selection process, providing timely responses to interested candidates. • Maintain recruitment data and reporting requests. • Remain up-to-date on all position functions, as it applies to forecasting and recruiting. • Collaborate with, assist, and train principals and supervisors in the overall hiring process. • Assesses existing processes to seek opportunities for process redesign to create efficiency and elevate the employee experience. • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with management. Wellness and Well-Being Highlights • Refine and initiate well-being and wellness program offerings to adapt to changes in the work world and competitive hiring environment. Ensure that the well-being and wellness benefits align with the SASD overall strategic plan and District vision. • Chair the SASD Wellness Committee and attend the SASD Benefits Committee meeting. • Design, develop, manage, and maintain cost-effective well-being and wellness programs that align with the employee engagement and recognition programs and assist staff in understanding the program to assure maximum engagement and participation. • Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operation and Human Resources, and the benefits consultants to address benefit-related and well-being trends, issues, inquiries, or improvement opportunities. • Partner with the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations and Human Resources in developing the benefits communication strategy. Partner with the Marketing and Communication Coordinator to clearly message the value of well-being programs to District Leadership and employees. • Collaborates with the Business Services and the Human Resources Departments to understand compliance requirements and ensure easy-to-understand employee transactions (on-boarding, benefit open enrollment, etc.) while addressing potential risks and ensuring/validating data integrity. • Work with community organizations such as Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) and Wellness Council of Wisconsin (WCWI) to ensure the WELCOA Well Workplace designation for the District. • Develop, implement, evaluate and promote well-being opportunities, including challenges, community events, presentations to staff, resources, and contributions to a monthly newsletter. • Collaborate with the InHealth Clinic personnel to utilize the clinic resources to maximize benefits for the District. • Organize and promote the District Back to School Bash Wellness Fair. • Coordinate annual health screenings and flu shots for staff and family members. • Educate employees about EAP services. • Stay current on current and emerging wellness and well-being topics through networking, conference attendance, and professional learning opportunities to assist staff in their positive employee experience and overall best life. • Leads and participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
