The Plum City School District is seeking applicants to serve in the role of an English Language Learner Paraprofessional. The Plum City Schools are nestled in a beautiful, lush valley and houses a wonderful community. The District consists of an Elementary 4K-5 building and a 6-12 HS/MS building. We also work to support the Ave Maria 4K-8 Academy. Plum City is located in rural, Western Wisconsin approximately one hour east of the Twin Cities Metro Area and one hour southwest of Eau Claire.  We are a community-based district that cherishes our school and the activities presented by the students in attendance.  We are surrounded by beautiful hills, woodlands, and farmlands and home to many different types of wildlife, streams, and rivers close by to entice the novice or avid fisherman/woman. Our District is within 1 hour of three Universities and two Technical colleges.  Students can earn credits through in-house transcripted credit options and various academies offered by Chippewa Valley Technical College. Desired Qualifications and Duties: - Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in 4K-12th grade - Practice curriculum material development for English Learners in 4K-12th grade - Support district teachers in making academic content accessible to English Learners. - Collaborate with staff within professional learning communities for continuous improvement - Maintain a strong, positive relationship with parents and the community overall - Display strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills - Dedicated individual who exhibits a strong desire to improve student learning - Spanish speaker is preferred - Complete and perform other duties as assigned Opportunities to coach exist within the district.
