The Plum City School District is seeking a positive, energetic, and innovative Middle/High School Special Education Teacher to join our staff during the 2022-2023 school year! Plum City is located in Midwest Wisconsin (within an hour of Eau Claire and the Twin Cities) and serves 265 students district-wide. This is a full-time position. The position is supported by staff and an administrative team that works collaboratively and collectively, along with ample instructional and technological resources. Opportunities to coach exist within the district. The successful candidate will: * Develop positive relationships with each student * Promote active engagement in a student-centered learning environment * Plan instruction for special needs students in grades 6-12 * Develop and maintain IEPs * Organize and conduct IEP meetings * Differentiate curriculum, assessment, and instruction to meet the needs of all learners * Utilize technology for instructional purposes * Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and positive learning environment * Work collectively and collaboratively with staff and administration * Pursue opportunities for professional development Requirements: -Bachelor Degree -Licensed to teach in WI with a current license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction -Passion for working with students, collaborating with colleagues, and sharing and growing the love of education in our school and community The Plum City School District is located less than an hour from the Twin Cities metro area and the Eau Claire, WI area. The District houses two school buildings, a 4K-5 Elementary School and a 6-12 Middle/High School, both located on Main Street in Plum City.
