* Experience as a commissioner. * Experience as a coach and/or official. * Demonstrate an interest in and positive attitude toward high school age student-athletes. * Display exemplary commitment to high professional standards and ethics. * Work positively and effectively with principals, athletic directors and officials. * Demonstrate strong leadership skills: strong communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. * Promote the success of all programs. * Rschool and GOOGLE experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: * Work within the constitution and by-laws of the Southern Lakes Conference * Meet with the principals and athletic directors as scheduled * Prepare athletic schedules for all SLC sponsored sports, JV1, JV2 and varsity. The athletic directors and principals must approve athletic schedules before officials are hired. * Hire officials for Conference meets and for varsity contests in the following sports: football, volleyball, boys' and girls' basketball, wrestling, softball, boys' and girls' soccer, baseball and gymnastics. Officials shall be hired one year, and preferably two years, in advance of the season. All officials must be licensed by the W.I.A.A. * Arrange the end of the season meetings for Varsity coaches. * Arrange and attend the three end of season banquets. * Arrange and attend the Academic Top Ten banquet. * Purchase and distribute plaques, trophies and other awards. * Provide a means by which coaches and athletic directors can evaluate officials. * Keep records of all Conference standings. * Report to the principals and athletic directors on competitive salary structures for game officials. * Serve as liaison between the SLC and the W.I.A.A. * Keep accurate information on all Conference financial matters. * Responsible for overseeing and updating the SLC web page. * Manage Rschool account.
