The Bus Driver will have both an AM and a PM route with the option to have additional hours for driving for field trips, sporting events, etc. Primary Job Summary: The Bus Driver is responsible for providing support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities for transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. About Wheatland: The Wheatland J1 School District is a pre K-8 school district with approximately 100 employees, and 590 students. The district covers over 30 square miles and incorporates 4 municipalities. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: One year previous experience driving a bus for a school setting preferred, no direct educational setting experience required. Certifications: Must maintain a commercial driver’s license, air brake certification preferred, along with first aid and CPR certification. **Training and mentoring will be provided to obtain the correct licensing and certifications.** * Signing Bonus *
