We are seeking a high school math teacher to join our team of dedicated teachers!

Our private high school, with small class sizes, focuses on relationship-building with students as a key strategy to encourage their growth as educated and wholesome individuals.

We are seeking a high school science teacher who can engage students on all levels of the learning spectrum and has a passion for teaching students, not just a passion for teaching the subject. The current subjects we are seeking include the possiblity of any of the following: Alg 1, remedial Alg 1, Alg 2, remedial Alg 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Honors/AP math courses. 

Our ideal candidate is skilled in differentiating in the classroom and can work with the support staff in school to ensure students are in their zone of proximal development (student learning "sweet" spot).

Responsibilities:

 

Work with the school's chosen curriculum yet develop its further effectiveness and implementation with mentor teachers
Collaborate with mentor teaching staff regularly
Use classroom strategies that promote diverse learning modalities
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members
Maintain a culture of feedback, reflection, and growth within the classroom and professional responsibilities
Respect guidance from principals relating to religious values, beliefs, and sensitivities of the school's community whenever applicable

Timeline
The in-classroom responsibilities begin at the end of August but hiring would be effective immediately in order to prepare for the upcoming school year. Opportunities to begin part-time this year are also available.
