Full Time
Stanley-Boyd Area Schools is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join a highly collaborative special education team for the 2025-26 school year. This position is one of two full-time speech pathology positions at the district.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs with targeted, evidence-based interventions for students with speech and language disorders with students ranging from Pre-K through high school
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student progress and performance data
- Complete Medicaid billing documentation for eligible students
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports student learning at a high level
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and model high standards in professional conduct
- Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices in the educational environment and expand professional skills
- Provide speech and language services in a variety of settings, including inclusive classrooms, virtual platforms, homes, and daycare centers
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations, interpret results, and communicate recommendations to families and staff
- Assist with school-wide hearing screenings and follow-up as needed
- Serve as a resource for parents and school staff regarding speech and language concerns and strategies
Position Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in communication disorders or similar
- DPI Certification for Speech and Language Pathology OR DPI Licensure for Speech and Language Pathology (1820).
The District Will Assist With:
- Scheduling annual and eligibility meetings, filing paperwork, and sending paperwork with a full-time special education secretary
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence and yearly membership dues
- Professional development related to Professional Learning Communities and the field of Speech Pathology
- Two-year new teacher/staff mentoring program
