Full Time

Stanley-Boyd Area Schools is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join a highly collaborative special education team for the 2025-26 school year.  This position is one of two full-time speech pathology positions at the district.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs with targeted, evidence-based interventions for students with speech and language disorders with students ranging from Pre-K through high school 
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student progress and performance data
  • Complete Medicaid billing documentation for eligible students
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that supports student learning at a high level
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and model high standards in professional conduct
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices in the educational environment and expand professional skills
  • Provide speech and language services in a variety of settings, including inclusive classrooms, virtual platforms, homes, and daycare centers
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations, interpret results, and communicate recommendations to families and staff 
  • Assist with school-wide hearing screenings and follow-up as needed
  • Serve as a resource for parents and school staff regarding speech and language concerns and strategies

Position Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in communication disorders or similar  
  • DPI Certification for Speech and Language Pathology OR DPI Licensure for Speech and Language Pathology (1820).  

The District Will Assist With:

  • Scheduling annual and eligibility meetings, filing paperwork, and sending paperwork with a full-time special education secretary
  • ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence and yearly membership dues
  • Professional development related to Professional Learning Communities and the field of Speech Pathology
  • Two-year new teacher/staff mentoring program
