Full Time
The Frederic School District is seeking an innovative, student centered, full-time Special Education Teacher beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Candidates must be passionate about special education, student learning, and making a positive impact with students. The educator in this position will provide specially designed instruction for students in all special education areas. This position requires strong collaborative skills and cooperative planning with school personnel and families.
Required: Desire to lead initiatives focused on serving students with IEPs. Vision consistent with high expectations for all students.
Preferred: Knowledge and practical application of the Alternate Achievement Standards: Essential Elements and Wisconsin Academic Standards. Experience and/or desire to lead within a professional learning community (PLC).
Successful candidates will possess the following:
-Desire and ability to create learning opportunities aligned to learning standards.
-Understanding of workforce development needs and college and career readiness.
-Strong technology skills that contribute to a high functioning learning environment.
-Ability to teach through real-world application of skills and standards, adapting lessons based on student needs.
-Desire and ability to work in a Professional Learning Community.
-Strong communication skills.
-Passion for learning, growing, and exploring.
Qualifications: Special Education teaching certification preferred. The District is prepared to assist a quality candidate in attaining a pathway to licensure. Additional teaching licenses and experiences are considered assets to applicants.
Co-curricular, coaching, and student organization leadership opportunities are available.

The Frederic School District serves approximately 500 students in Northwest Wisconsin. Every classroom within the District has been remodeled to meet the needs of today's learners.
